DOB: 2/3/2016 744 lbs in 256 days in milk on 1st freshening! LA 2018 VVVV 88 ADGAgenetics Information
This is Cori's first freshening and she is just over a year old. Cori has excellent genetics on all sides. Her relatives excel in national shows, milk test, and linear appraisal. We are so excited to have Cori and see what she can do. She is scheduled this year for a 2017 linear appraisal and will be on milk test. Cori has a calm, friendly personality and a smooth, flat rump.
Her mother Caracara has a high milk test day of 4.9 lbs. and a linear appraisal score of 90 with an E in rump. For show wins: 2 x 1st and 1 x JGCH.
Cori's grandmother, GCH Dragonfly IH Peregrine, won the 2016 ADGA Nationals as Reserve Grand Champion at 8 years old. She also put 6.5 lbs. of milk in the bucket as her high test day. Her linear appraisal score is 91. Her show wins are: 3 x 1st, 3 x GCH Jr., 1 x BJrDIS, 2nd in 2 YO class at 2011 ADGA Nationals, and 3 x GCH Sr.
On Cori's father's side is SG ARMCH Flat Rocks Here for the Party, a gorgeous doe in many ways. Her high milk weight is 5.4 lbs and her LA is 90. Her show wins are: 10 x 1st, 4 x GCH Sr., 4 x RGCHSr., 4 x BOB, and 5 x Best Udder.
Algedi Farm MH Solaris (Cori's grandfather) is a son of GCH Rosasharn's TL Zenith, an icon in the Nigerian Dwarf breed.
Cori's aunt (her father's sister), Dragonfly Sol Fantasia, won the 2016 ADGA Nationals as a Reserve Junior Champion. She has also won: 2 x 1st and 1 x GCH.
The last picture, Dragonfly CP Taita, is Cori's littermate sister who already has a reserve junior win.
You will notice that Cori's relatives have the perfect blend of dairy and strength. While being well within the height limit, they give the appearance of standard size dairy goats. Both Caracara and Peregrine have nice wide rumps. With Eagle Scout as the sire, Cori's offspring are line-bred on Peregrine as well as Promisedland Incredible Hunk, who sired many beautiful, milky does.
On her first lactation, Cori milked 2.6 lbs. at 10 days fresh. At 3 weeks fresh, she is doing just over 3 lbs. She peaked at 3.6 lbs. and at 4 mths fresh is still doing 3.3 lbs. She will have earned her milking star.
Cori's linear appraisal went very well. The appraiser said her udder was just gorgeous. She has good shoulders, correct rump angle, good rear legs and back. She also has high rear udder height. Since she is only a yearling, I expect improvement in strength and rump width. Considering her age, I think those are about perfect right now. Her score was VEVV 87.
Cori looks gorgeous this year. She has a nice smooth fore-udder, wide rear attachments, strong MSL, and overall good general appearance. Her milk production on her 2nd lactation is also impressive: 4.9, 4.9, 4.1, and 4.4 lbs of milk.
We attended the Logan, UT goat show where she easily took 1st in her age class in both rings. Cori's 2017 son took Reserve and Grand Champion Nigerian Dwarf buck. We are excited to retain 3 granddaughters, one of whom won her age class and took Reserve Junior doe. We attended the Utah State Fair 2018 where Cori took 1st in her age under 4 different judges with two Reserve Grand Champions.
Both of her sons and one grandson have the majority of the breedings for 2019.
